"Love them just wish more shops stocked them"
"Excellent sunglasses. Initially purchased the black chromapop ones, but wasnt a fan as the lens was too blue rather than black. I thought it would be more like the black lens on the performance sunglasses (smith shifts). Returned and got the green chromapop lens and WOW they so good, it looks better than my naked eyesight tnh. Colors truly pop with this lens and they look great. Maybe a bit expensive for what they are but very nice nevertheless"
"I own four pair of the Lowdown XL 2 sunglasses. I wear a pair daily. So comfortable! I am bigger guy who has struggled to find a quality pair of shades that fit my face and are fashionable. These check all the boxes!"
"I've had these before there was a 2 in the XL... I love em. I've had several combinations of lenses and styles. The lenses are so strong. They are big glasses, but I got a big head, so they work. Please do not ever discontinue this line of glasses!!!"
"I have a pretty big head and face I think. These fit and look great. love the lens on the matte tortoise. glad they make an XL"
"I'm bigger guy, athletic, 62 280. I have a big head; these sunglasses are the only comfortable fitting pair I can find from any brand period of story. I'm a huge smith fan because of their XL frame line, so when I read others describing these as too big' I think they should look at other pairs of frames and not request an XL frame be made smaller? I can say this for all dudes that actually need an XL frame size: please never do that. Catering to those with true XL frames needs brought me from Oakley to Smith 10 years ago and will keep me with your brand forever if sizes like these remain available. I was incredibly bummed to buy the Lowdown XL steel series because I found them way too tight and narrow when these frames are so perfect and named the same. Not specific to these frame but overall feedback, these are a better for my head than the Outlier XL by a small margin but when it comes to comfort wearing these during a 3-4 hour golf game there's no pair of frames that come close. I guess I'm saying I hope there's a future consistency to the XL line but also hope that doesn't mean moving away from this size and closer to the way-too-small for me Steel XL series! I have a brand new identical pair of these frames in a box in storage just in case they become extinct that's seriously how much I love them. That doesn't include the 2 pairs I have in regular rotation! Now then, time to buy the matte black w/ black polarized ChromaPop. Psyched for another new pair!"
"The feel, finish and quality of these glasses are very good, on par with most modern non-Techlite Smith sunglasses (Techlite glass lenses have superior scratch resistance to these). I bought the matte black frames with ChromaPop Polarized Black lenses. The lenses do pretty well for me skiing bc, fishing, hiking etc in a pretty wide range of light conditions, even in fairly flat light on snow. Among the current line-up of "lifestyle" glasses that also work for outdoor sports, these seemed to me to look the coolest. But, I definitely agree with the comment below about the size; they are comically big. That's good for coverage, but I'm not wild about the look. And, I find the regular Lowdown frames conversely too small. I wish they were a bit smaller, and a bit more square...like the discontinued Comeback frames. Bring Back the Comeback, or something more like it. They were rad!"
